Our Objectives:
A. Preventive
To educate couples in their desire to establish sound and loving
family structures.
To provide comprehensive pre-marital counselling
programmes.
To identify and develop longitudinal programmes
for families in different phases of transition.
To develop and promote public programmes
to enable a pro-active involvement in family-life education.
To publish via printed and electronic media:
providing key information to the community.
To promote holistic approach to the wellness
of individuals and family systems.
B. Counselling
To provide a recovery and reconciliatory ministry.
To nurture the family nucleus as mentors
for couples.
To establish support groups for peer to
peer counselling.
To provide holistic and comprehensive (spiritual,
emotional, physical and psychological) healing to families.
C. Equipping for Ministry
To train and equip targeted persons to carry out this ministry
passionately and professionally.
To establish the infra-structure of such
a service so that lines of accountability, confidentiality and
professionalism can be maintained. -
To integrate research, practice and value
based counselling to lay, para-professionals and professionals.
To organize workshops and conferences to
better equip people helpers in their theory, skills and practice
in their counselling practice.
D. Service to the community
To develop models of marriage and parenting suitable for the
country.
To establish local psychological profiles
and norms.
To provide training and resources to groups
for purpose of building family ministries.
To conduct training, workshops and seminars
in promotion of strengthening family ties.
To be a premium centre for networking of
agencies and individuals for the furthering of marriage and
parenting development.
To be a resource centre to promote sound
and clinical practice for counselling approaches and methodology.
