Dr Gary Collins
Psychologist & Life Coach
Gary R. Collins is a licensed psychologist with a PhD in clinical psychology from Purdue University. A native of Canada, he is author of over fifty books, including Christian Counseling: A Comprehensive Guide. For twenty years he taught psychology and counseling at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and has led seminars and accepted invitations to speak in over fifty countries.
He was the co-founder and first president of the American Association of Christian Counselors, founding editor of Christian Counseling Today magazine, and general editor of the 42 volume Resources for Christian Counseling book series published by Word Publishers. Currently he heads the Gary R. Collins Life Coaching Institute, is a certified life coach, continues to write and speak at conferences, and serves both as Distinguished Professor of Leadership and Coaching at Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, and as Distinguished Visiting Professor in the School of Psychology and Counseling at Regent University.
He and his wife Julie live in a Chicago suburb.
