Loving God, Loving Others
[Date: 21 July 2008]
Rev Dr Siang-Yang Tan

Based on Mark 12:29-31, Scot McKnight has written a book entitled, "The Jesus Creed: Loving God, Loving Others" (Paraclete Press, 2004). This Public Address will cover what it means to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbour or others as ourselves, which is the ultimate end of spiritual formation and knowing and experiencing God.

Experiencing God Through Times of Change
[Date: 22 July 2008]
Dr Gary Collins

Living, counselling, and ministering in times of galloping change can be exhausting, exhilarating and sometimes scary. But God has put each of us on this earth for such a time as this. This session will be an overview of the changes we face as individuals, counsellors, nations and churches. We will consider contemporary research, biblical principles and practical guidelines for dealing with change, helping others cope with change, making change happen, and bringing about changes that last.

Journey to Intimacy
[Date: 23 July 2008]
Dr Wei-Jen Huang

Intimate relationship offers the best chance for us to heal emotional wounds, yet it can also be the most dangerous place for us to get reinjured. Intention is Not Equal to Impact and Love Needs to be Learned. Through empirical research and clinical experience Dr. Huang will explore the three key ingredients for living in love.
